Not sure, he had some B&W 603 S3's though; clearly he was too poor for a pair of 804's........

does make me laugh when other people post in GC about getting porsches and GTR's but yet people dont shoot them down for running costs.
Thats because people like colin earn decent money and could realistically afford it.

Sparked a good debate though
I am surprised no one does considering how much the majority of members on here earn!
I seem to remember a guy on here is a stock broker and has one.
The reality is that owning a Ferrari in the lifetime is achievable by many... Owning, maintaining and living a Ferrari lifestyle not so much.
Ultimately it's fairly sad to have your one goal in life, to own a materialistic item like a Ferrari. Far better to have goals to experience things / get the most out of life and let materialistic things be a side line.
There was a 'Come dine with me' episode a little while ago which reminds me of john-d. Basically some guy had a semi detached house in a rough area, but in his garage he had a battered yellow 348. He had ferrari jacket / caps / flags etc... Everyone who came for dinner were shown the car, even though they didn't care about it. The guy didn't even drive it / tax / insure it... he just had it in his garage to show off to people who came round

There are many people on here that make extremely decent money. There is a reason why not many people buy Ferrari's. They still cost an arm and a leg to run.
Ferrari will rape you financially.
End of story

Not only do they cost an arm and a leg to run, the costs in getting the car converted for a one legged/armed would also be costly.

I love Paul_j's logic, he writes essays on the internet, becuase he is too poor to write a book
we all arent doctors, as we are too poor to go to university for 7 years
We all have green texts, as we are too poor for purple.
Applies to everything in life, Ian is called Ian, as his parents were too poor to afford any more letters.
