I would nt spend money on the jeep, you'll want to get rid in a bit & if you spend on it you'll regret it imo. Use it for what its intended & save for the next one!!

I'm not comparing it to an Astra. In general the E36 interior is pure dated.

The seats are awesome in e36 though, but the rest of the interior is dated (and I love e36s) but then I have never been that impressed with E46 interiors.

Yup, too expensive. They eat tyres, like brakes and being a Renualt will need bits often. Cba with that, rather the M3

Just get an E36 M3. I'd even accept ///'s all over CS. Just buy one over an Astra or 500

Just get the fucking E36. If you do go to PVS, I'm going to staple an M badge to your forehead.

every thing is divided because your choices are totally different:
500 - probably cool but imo similar to the clio
astra - shit compared to the other cars
e36 - bit long in the tooth and maybe hard to find a decent one
e46 - immense and the car you want deep down

e46 - immense and the car you want deep down but also the most expensive to own insure drive and tax

where does this notion of having to replace things all the time come from, you might have a clutch go once if your unlucky, but i don't see the big expense.
everyone told me the corrado would be like that, fair enough sometimes have broken, but no way has it cost more than if i'd spent £8k on a car to begin with, and now i know most stuff is new, ithem parts lasted 150,000miles so why not another 150,000 now replaced.
you probably spent more on clio seats then i'd had to spend in any one time.
fearing an old high mileage car and internet rumours really limits your choices imo
even rust isn't the end of the world

It impacts cash flow and is ALWAYS more expensive than you think. I can only do basic things myself.
The clio cost me a lot because of replacing minor parts, but often. After owning it 18months, i effectively spent what a brand new Clio would have cost me on a lease deal. Difference being the time saved, hassle saved and the fact i would of owned a nicer car.
Its not internet myth its a fact. Older cars break, need replacement parts and are generaly a PITA.
Hows the corrado this week Jim

its sat in the garage like it has for 6months now
i still love it, even after 5yrs, nothing is broken, i could start it up and drive it around, but done that for nearly 70,000miles already, going to put a bit more time and money into i think.
depends what you want from a car, i actually wanted something i could get involved with and work on

Thats fair play, i enjoyed that with the Corsa, im looking for something to get in and drive and enjoy. Fixing anything simple myself and trying to avoid frequent expensive trips for £80 p/h labour

i spose the corrado has been my first project kind of car, i never put much money into the nova or corsa i had.
maybe why i have the mentality you probably already experienced with the corsa
