Most on here talk shit, a whole load of internet going on! How many folk under the age or say 25 do you know with 100k in a bank and 50k share portfolios? Yet 85% of folk on here have this and seem to think they are some kind of financial advisors

I worked with a lady called Maureen once. She was about90, drunk like a fish and was rude as hell, but funny.

I think its easier for people in England to make money than it is in scotland. I'm finding it extremely hard to get a job that pays more than mine does at the moment

No actually, just a generalism about this place. Any time money is mentioned everyone on here is loaded...

I genuinely think there is more money (or assets) on this forum than you'd think. Especially considering is a Corsa forum

Loads of people with houses, multiple cars, nice cars etc.

I think people assume that as this is a Corsa forum, there is no-one that earns any serious money.

Those that are sitting on a large lump sum (i.e. 50k+) are most likely to have inherited it as most people on here are under 30 and are unlikely to have save it up themselves (still possible - just unlikely). That's a perfectly plausible situation and I wouldn't really doubt anyone that claimed to have that much.

Those that claim to earn a lot is possible too. Just because someone hasn't gone out and bought a Porsche, doesn't mean they can't earn good money. Earning good money doesn't immediately give you the means to go out and buy expensive stuff outright, people might not want to go and buy a flash car on finance.

I fucked up all my finances when I was 18, got a default on a phone contract, had numerous cars on loan for 6 months at a time, it took me till I 20 to realise where I was going wrong and till I was 24 to sort it all out.

I think Jim's idea off the apprentice of going into schools and teaching kids about finance and business was genius, but instead Sugar went with the shitty office chair.

We run a similar scheme through work. People at my company volunteer to go into schools and teach kids about business, finance and interview skills to help with getting jobs.

100k for 1 year.

I'd buy a shitty flat for 80k. I'd chuck 15k doing it up to a high standard, 5k left for general costs then sell it to a buy to let investor a year later.

I would like to get at least an 20%+ return

Selling a flat for 50% more than you bought it for, sounds plausible just now
