Its not about the church thoughh, its about having equal rights. The church can still say no.

I couldn't care less and sometimes wonder what life would be like having two dads and no mum.

Alot of takeaways and dirty pants imo

Yeah fair enough I have no problem with equal rights, but I can see this getting to a point where people sue the Church as it is against their human rights that the church won't marry them.

There was a thing before where the government would pay married couples to stay together or something

Just plain stupid.

Benefits and perks should not be based upon if you are classed as married or in a civil partnership, they should be based on how many people or similar.

personally could give a hoot about it.

I dont see what the problem is with what they have got now with civil partnerships, in the same way I dont see the problem with letting them get married as imo there is no difference between them (assuming the marriage is the none church version).

however I do think that if the church's want to stick to following their made up rules/books then let them, they will just fall more and more behind the times and hopefully people will realise and stop believing in made up shite.

Tbh I think calling a marriage that was done in a registry office should be a 'civil partnership' as I feel that marriage is a religious thing, and the religious people don't agree with that, so leave them alone.

My point is, if a heterosexual couple get 'married' in a registry office, this should be called a civil partnership.
Then everyone is equal.

Gays and non religious people - civil partnership
Religious people - marriage.

Sorted.

This debate the government has created is crazy because ignorant fools are saying its against the church. But the bill passed last night states that no church will be forced to do same sex marriages.

Good thinking tbh.

I also think that marriage today is just seen as something to do and not valued by the majority.

It's not just church vs. registry office though.

I got married outside near a lake in a irreligious ceremony and I fully think that I should be allowed to say I'm married to my wife and not that I'm in a civil partnership with my female partner. The church doesn't own the term marriage. Nor does heterosexuals.

Against - It un natural for same sex couples to get married or indeed to want to bum or lick each other.

Dont get me wrong, let them crack on with what they want to do to one another, i m not opposed to that, just don't think its right.

Same sex couples adopting is again wrong and shouldn't be allowed.

On the flip side i do like to watch two ladies who enjoy one another's company expressing their adoration for each other in a primeval way.

Any way aids will wipe them out eventual so not overly concerned.

In essence, lesbianism = win, bumming = wrong.

Ok

Iv no problems with gayers getting married.

I'm not to sure if they should adopt though. If a kiddy at school had two dads we would have bullied him even more than the fatties, gingers, Jews etc

This is why I really don't see any problem with gay people getting married.

I find it strange in todays UK that people are against it, why would you be against equal rights ?

I think all areas of this topic have been covered now .

Nathy is waiting for the right boy

Gary is bordering coming out of closet then back tracks

Steve is looking for a 15.9 year old princecess NOT a prince.

Some folk are for bumming . Some aren't .

There's a 'spelling off ' somewhere in middle

Something about taking drugs

Random part about Muslims eating bacon

A quote on tattoos

Steve went to a christening and wondered WTF he was doing there.

Good old cs
