Standard triage procedure, go to the ones that aren't moving/shouting/screaming as there in the worse condition.

The pictures are brutal, couldn't imagine standing watching a marathon one minute then being a pile of lifeless bones the next. Horrendous.

Just to help Jonnys arguement...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/

front page, majority of it all about boston tiny little bit 'other news' about the earthquake in Iran that killed 40 people.

how ever saying this I dont agree with what Jonny was saying about the drone attacks, these are done in war and not just for shits and giggles (yes some soldiers may/have killed in cold blood) but the majoirty do its their job/in war time however I am yet to see a terrorist attack where it wasnt in cold blood (not that I am saying the boston stuff was a terrorist attack as no one knows yet).

but I do agree that the media are very biassed.

Mind you, losing your legs these days isn't as bad as it sounds, especially with the tech america have.

Must be hassle though, learning it all

I was saying that last night, although their definition of 'injured' is questionable, I'm sure there's more people who have injuries than they are saying, must be hundreds who aren't injured enough to count!

I'm thinking if they were in the bins, then that may be a lot of people's saving grace. If it was say chest height I think the mess would be unimaginable.

The irony being those moaning that Iraq etc... doesn't get the same publicity when bombings happen wait until there's been a bombing folk do 'care' about then moan about it.

Why not make an issue out of it 2 days ago when no one bombed Boston?

An earthquake is a bit different as it's a natural disaster and could not have been prevented, attacks like this shock people more because it's hard to understand what would make someone want to blow up a group of innocent people, they have to figure out why it happened and hot it can be prevented in the future

Sad to see civilians killed for no reason regardless of where they live. Got to remember though, americans are terrorists as well. They too blow up and kill inocent civilians.

You pity people being unable to see the difference between two differing nationalities of people losing lives through Similar means? You can strap the term war over one and it makes it palatable, that's all. Which ever way you convince yourself of it, both are horrific and totally unforgivable.
