They will do. Starting to reckon Kick It Out fucking love stuff like this, they wouldnt exist without it. Making a mountain out of a molehill is a massive understatement, this isnt even a molehill. The context is obvious, he didnt say "pass it to monkey boy over there" did he

Dan Walker ‏@mrdanwalker 38m
Now this will annoy a lot of you but... it has become clear that there is more to this Hodgson story than meets the eye.

Dan Walker ‏@mrdanwalker 28m
I am unable to relay the whole story but the 'truth', although not damning, is apparently different to what we are being told.

Oh god. Here we go, this is going to run and run.

Well, the guy who broke the story has said that the player "involved" said the statement was a joke, and its a cover up by the FA.

Black people that jump on this disgust me, especially footballers.

They live to be offended, they no longer want to be treated equally they want to be treated as superior. You can say anything you want about anything, so long as there is no reference to black people - no matter how remote.

Very much this!! 'Equality' is the biggest load of bollocks ever.

Worse are white liberals who jump on this kind of shit pretending to be outraged. They make my piss boil!

That's what makes this instance even worse, there wasn't even the slightest remotest link to anything racist, except using the word Monkey to describe Monkeys in an anecdote

I sometimes call my daughter a cheeky monkey, am I racist?

If anyone was offended it should be the "astronauts" who he wanted to just offload the ball to Townsend.

Doesnt really work as your daughter is white But it is like calling black kid a "cheeky monkey" in a totally innocent way and people getting outraged by it. Its all about context, and the context that Roy used this is totally innocent and in no way suggesting that Andros Townsend looks like a monkey because of his race.

Has Rio come out claiming this is the reason he's not playing for England anymore yet?

I've had blacker tans than half the 'black' players in the squad. It's a joke.

He's probably called Townsend a choc-ice cunt for sticking up for a 'whitey'. Anti racism

Lets be fair, if Stan Collymore and Rio say it's not racist, then it definitely is not racist

Hard the associate a motive for that, unless it was just a passing comment to someone who then decided to take it to the papers.

Thing is I can see one of the players just saying to someone "hey Roy decided to tell us this bizarre joke at half time about a monkey and nasa..." then that person saw a money making opportunity

Either way the quicker it comes out who the better. If its been done in any sort of way of someone staff or player saying they were offended, they should be dropped without question. Not for being offended, no matter how stupid everyone has that right, but they should have taken it up with the management at the FA, not the papers. Which is why I believe it hasn't come directly from one of the people in the room at the time.

Whoever leaked it should be banished from International duty.

The last thing any tight knit side needs is a rat in the camp. England will end up like Holland, imploding every single time they look to be doing something good.

I would wholly disagree, I was on Twitter for a minute this afternoon (before I knew about the whole story) and guys like Jason Roberts (who I actually really like) were bleeting on about Roy being an old man and that type of language being acceptable when he was younger. What type of fucking language?

Then you have these groups calling for enquiries and apologies. This type of thing should not even translate to 1 inch of media space, it is a nothing comment with no other meaning behind it than a man trying to do his job to the best of his ability.

Well, a day late, but the league of black lawyers have made their complaint about it

I get the vision of them sitting in a hollowed out volcano thinking up new ways of putting down the white man. And getting their views across to everyone
