Before everyone gets too excited about Costa, don't forget that £32m is merely his release clause. Chelsea have clearly put in the ground work. They suit each other too - cunt player, cunt club. He's had a great season but think £32m is a big investment with some measure of risk. Probably work out well + takes Chelsea out of the market for the few big names around this Summer.
Can only see Real selling Benzema if they sign Suarez or Aguero and you'd think if it were Suarez (as is more likely) then Liverpool would probs demand Benzema in exchange. That said, John Cross says Arsenal are making a concerted effort to sign him before the WC and that Ancelotti is amenable. Would be super happy with that as Wenger loves the player, though he did say recently that he thinks Benzema and Giroud at the same club would not be good for France (GAF). Let's see.

In the gargoyle's defense, he averaged 2.9 key passes per game, and if they had a world class goalscorer, his assists would be significantly higher.

equal stats to the revered David Silva's first season too, in almost half the games. Next season will be huge for him, provided he doesn't get burnt out in the WC... A full season alongside a rampaging Walcott and Ramsey with (hopefully) a top top striker banging them in will show him as the player he is.

Pochettino installed as favourite to take over at Sp*rs... I predict another sacking by Levy following a poor appointment. The guy has been doing well at Soton for 18 months... whatever happened to proving yourself these days, so many knee jerk reactions.

Same thing could be said for Costa TBH, he's done the square root of nothing up until last season.
Granted he's tearing it up just now but he's playing in a team which suits his style of play perfectly.

Also...ANYONE who thinks Ozil has been a flop or shit either doesn't understand football or hasn't watched any this season.
He's not been banging in 30 yard worldy's but thats not his game. He's been simply class at times.
As Robbo said, with Ozil/Rambo/Theo/Ox/Wishere fit and a top drawer striker hopefully, it will be football porn next season.

Diego Costa has scored a shitload the past couple seasons and in big games but he had done nothing up until then.
Cavani I personally think is a complete donkey with a powerful strike on him hence the reason his goal returns have always been good. He doesn't have the ball control of an SPL player never mind a £60 million one.

Cavani was superb for Napoli in the main, great scoring rate IIRC. Been played on the wing effectively for PSG so difficult to judge. Was he ever worth £56m? No, but who is. Plus he had signed a new long-term contract the Summer before. Costa is, as Hammer and I said, a kind of example of knee jerk reactions, though he certainly has something about him. Be interesting to see him fit into a negative team like Chelsea though. I'd take him at Arsenal but would prefer Benzema or Cavani tbh
