Its not about doing anything better. For me personally its the mechanics inside them, I think some of the movements are amazing. Unfortunately, the more amazing they are, the more expensive they are.
If you don't appreciate that, its probably stupid they cost so much but you should still see that its worth the money to someone.
An expensive car does the same basic function as a cheap one, same as just about every product that exists. There is still a massive market for a fancier version though.

But a fancier version will still have a lot more advantages over a cheap basic car. The same cannot be said about a cheap or expensive watch.

Depends how you look at it with both.
The expensive watch will have the extras that I would be looking for. The extras the car has will be irrelevant to someone who doesn't care about cars.

I know it's a bit cunty to look at it this way, but being intrigued and turned on by a watch mechanism/innards is a bit fucking weird.
I own a fossil watch. Paid £100 for it because it liked the look of it. Probably worn it 5 times in about 8 years completely pointless article for me. My phone tells the time.

I'd rather a £10 genuine tshirt/watch
Than a £10 fake designer something.
I don't really have anything designer, I buy for what I like the look of, not for makes.
Have never bought a watch in my life

Car vs watch argument is pointless.
A 1.0 micra will not do 150mph etc etc. It may get you to the same place, so yes basic function is the same, but theres so much more to it.
A watch is used to tell the time. Well, up until the ''smartwatch'' anyway. What else does it do?

I do see the point and advent ages of these new smart watches though.
Each to their own, if they want to spend their money on that, it's up to them

So is that 'passing them off' in real life or the internet?
We've been over this.. I didn't SAY they were genuine but when someone asked if they were copies (some of them are) I replied:

Are you merely making an assumption or do you actually have a fucking clue?
Its easy to point and shout 'Copy' or 'Fake' at every thing you see that looks expensive (it was only the other day that some poor bastid smashed up his 355 and the photos were all over the net saying it was an MR2) most people haven't got a clue though they just say these things out of jealousy not because they actually know what they are talking about.

Again it depends on the quality of the fake The more expensive breast augmentation involves putting the implants under the muscle tissue, the cheaper op's have the implants above.. The latter just look ridiculous.

Can anyone wear these fake watches or do you need to have a diet that consists of taking supplements and and being a bit of a chav?
Btw, my £99.99 Casio Kinetic is still going strong after about 15 years. I was going to say never had to change the battery, but the level of intelligence in here is too low for that.

I've got a Kinetic Auto Relay Seiko but it did need the old style battery swapping for a newer capacitor after about 10 years.

DaveyLC trying to justify to the internet why he buys fakes is cringeworthy . The reason people buy fakes is because they are pretentious fakes themselves and can't genuinely afford the real deal ....or they just don't gaf . But people who don't gaf pay €10 not £300 and don't go onto take pictures and post about how great they are and then proceed to tell others about fucking investments
So If I threw my Replicas in the bin and just kept the Genuine watches that's ok, I get your blessings but because I own the Replicas too I'm some kind of Champagne Charlie trampy c**t?
I haven't said your a cunt . Am also not telling you to do anything do whatever you want . Am also not bothered if you have fakes or real. It's just some of your justifications are a load of bollocks . If your happy with a £300 fake/copy/replica/imitation then crack on

Agreed. Behind the muscle looks better and feels better.

watch threads never fail to entertain
If he likes wearing fake watches then fair play but not for me
I would sooner wear the real thing - having a nice watch on the wrist is a nice feeling but for others its pointless
That's why everyone is different

If I could afford it, I would have a fuckton of expensive watched tbh I'm one of those saddos who loves the engineering that is involved.
Plus, a very nice/rare watch can be an appreciating asset, that an iPhone won't be.
