They work for Vaillant, so one would assume they know what they're doing. It's all certified, so that's good enough for me.

Pow, unfortunately that's the best they could do with the space available. They did offer to move it into the bathroom airing cupboard for the best install, but I didn't want that as I want to get rid of the cupboard altogether.

That's how I fitted mine (DIY) - got a mate to sign it off.

I'd also like to add that my DIY pipework looks allot better than that!

Doesn't look so bad with everything back in place.

Hive receiver is going to be fitted onto the tiles as it looks awful where it is now. Then it's just a case.of boxing it in and all will be fine

Mines on a plug, plugs in under the cupboard under the sink, fitted by qualified fitters. Nothing wrong with it, no different to it being on a fused spur!

Got in from work and still had some energy, so decided to empty the water tank and get it down from the loft.

Boiler man had drained it to just below the drain off, so I had to scoop 4 buckets of shit brown water out. Cut it up and removed some redundant pipework and now I have more room to store shit.

Would probably cost a fortune moving it up there. We're moving at some point in the near future so didn't want to spend silly money on relocating it when its perfectly fine in the kitchen.

if the old one was there surely wouldnt have cost that much.

plus the resale value wouldve been slightly higher because dont have a nasty looking boiler in the kitchen

The water tank was in the loft. The old boiler was where the new one is, it's just been rotated 90 degree's.

The new boiler has a digital gauge on to check water pressure, temperature etc, so needs to be somewhere I can check it often.

Nasty old boiler which was in for 30+ years:

Pretty sure it won't affect resale value, as it's a brand new combi with a 7 year warranty.

got to be honest Ben looks horrible that install

if your moving why didn't you just put in a conventional boiler

Thats what we did - ours failed 2 days before our viewing and just replaced with a like for like and moved

Putting that boiler in would add little if any value to you selling

With your OCD I am surprised you can live with that install - i couldnt
