not really in standard form as far as performace goes apart from 20xe (156bhp)
137 bhp from a 10 year old 1.8 is pretty good in my opinion. vaux can only muster 125 nowadays

i am not into modifying vauxhall's anymore - no
try 137bhp standard in a car that weighs 980kgs and will out handle any corsa

With gearboxes that blow up I was just pointing out that vaux n/a engines are not all poo.
