i have spent all my money on a subaru, you should have earnt other cars which you race in other events? also do the challenges and tickets you get, on the mercedes challenge thing on level 6 you get 16k for finishing on a silver on a like 2 minute challenge! and there is 5 of them on that challenge like that

you find that as you do the challenges as long as you are getting silver and gold you keep leveling up and are able to just keep going.

I A ) could've raced seriously and B ) could've put penalties on the server.
Penaltys are either low / high ... e.g. cut the track and get penalised by quite a hefty bit

i have hardly done any races think i have just done the sunday cup and the yaris race.
doing the special events gives you shit loads of money and levels you up very quick i have about 500,000 credits the now and am on level 12 so might start doing some races.

i think there was just one i had to race and get some points for the next challenge..
what we aught to do is decide on a car and track and race 2 times a week on a sunday or something, then the winner of that race picks the car/track for the following fortnight.
structure like that just keeps you focused on learning the track and car.

If you get gold you get a lot more 
I got gold on all the events / licenses i've done... you get better prize cars and more money and exp

What's wrong with just getting on and spending actual timem racing people, above sounds like search and destroy on COD, rubbish.

i really do struggle to get gold, on that mercedes challenge when you do a whole lap of the nurburgring i was like a whole 40 seconds off gold!

john - its because half of the drivers dont know the track, or the car and just end up in the hedge.. you will get just 2 people battling it out dodging people spinning their cars or crashing..
what it also does is makes you learn how the car propperly behaves and how the track really feels.
yes its a laugh to jump on a race and just drive, but whats fun about spending more time dodging people who dont know where they are going or cant handle the car than actually fighting for position in a clean race.

this is what i love about GT games is finding cars in the used car bit.
although in the older games it was even better because you couldnt paint your car which ment it was cool when you found a car in an odd/rare colour.
i found a brocade yellow tigra in the used car bit and should of bought it cause i went back and it was gone!!
