read yesterday that only 2% of android devices are running ICS

and 99.8% of emails to the creators of temple run for android complain their device isnt supported, they support over 700 devices.

All the ones on eBay at the moment seem to be preorders with shipping start of october. Will be coming from the same China supplier, no doubt.

I just hope they manage to make a decent copy of the adapter as well.

Yeah but from experience, it took them nearly 3years to implement 3g where it was actually a proper network. I think you might get mere hotspots at the end of the year, as for coverage I wouldn't expect in the lifetime of this phone it will be an issue not having it. Unless of course, you reside underneath one of the 10masts nationwide with 4g antennas

There isnt even 3G in the whole of North East of Scotland, nevermind 4G!

They lightening cables have apparently got something fancy going on for the reversible data lines.

Any ebay special, for the moment, will probably only charge at best.

My mate asked me if I wanted go halfs on a bulk order with him last week. Turned him down at the time because of too many idiots on ebay that will be asking why it hasn't been sent even though it would be pre-order.

He ordered 200 and put them on ebay as the cheapest seller at £3.69 pre order. He sold all 200 in less than 2 days and was going to order another 800 but the supplier couldn't commit to anymore as they already had loads of other pre-orders and the things haven't even been made yet.

Then the article came out around the little chip in the gen ones that could mean copies won't work and hes shitting it now incase he has to refund everyone. One seller on there has sold over 2000 (the adapters this is not the cables)

Yeah I was interested to see all the cables on ebay and wondered how many of them were playing the guessing game on whether the cables would work.

It sounds like it might be a bit longer before the Chinese copies will be out. I expect in time it will happen but it does sound like its certainly not a straight forward task. Specially if it does detect types of end points and act accordingly. Without testing them all they will have no idea what its meant to do.

In terms of charging it sounds like its possible to make a cable as its the same pins used when in charge mode.
