Don't really see the problem tho, even if you did 40 hrs a week at mcdonalds you'd still come home with £1000.
Government pay 75% of childcare. Call it £125 a week like I pay, so that's £100 a month to make up.
Council house £300ish a month.
Food, water, gas, etc, single mother and kid, probably £200-£250 a month.
£1000 - £300 - £100 - £200, still leaves £400 for yourself and you'd be an honest working citizen.

yep, like I said if someone is incapable of working, not just because they are in a wheelchair.
No, not saying it should be aborted, with contraception these days there is no for it to get that far. And yeah if its a mistake (as in they were using contrception, or rape, or whatever) then I undertand that. Its more the planned sprogs where they know they cant afford it and go on benefits.

Mine wasnt planned but I went straight back to work 3 months after I gave birth

Surely if you still want a car but say you have got a 1.4, why not downgrade to a 1.0 or 1.2, they will be more economical and cheaper to insure and tax wont they???

not sure if this has been added but families are entitled to claim benefit even if they were working. i live with a family where the women earns 65k a yr and still gets sumthing like 20-30 quid a week (i think a week!) for each child.
im not saying whether this is right or wrong but i would say is it necessary for sum 1 earning that kind of money. if it is on offer then your going to claim it especially as she pays a good 1.5k a month in tax
