300+ spec cams?
solid lifters?

You going for a stronger crank? (SBD expensivo one?)

What rods n pistons.... and what bore size?

Thought about a 1.8 bottom end? is that still a small block?

putting 2 engines in one shell to test back to back isnt goign to happen, so your not going to get much closer than the above test IMO

I could try it for u if im bored one day

one thing i still disagree with is i have heard robmarriot and mark now say puttin 2.0 in corsa defeats object but surely goin from a 1.4 to 1.6 engine is still the same principal even if both engines are similar it is still a bigger engine capacity.

so that is also defeating the object goin from 1.4 to 1.6. and a c20xe could be made just as revvy as brosters easily so thats poor excuse but each to there own

anyways whats it matter.

carl, i dont want this to turnb to a whats better thread, end of the day its staying with a 1,6 block.

not oging 1.8 as there are no tuning options for them really.

going for h section rods and slipper pistons and sbd crank, head will see some major work too, hence my current one will be rebuilt and sold complete with cams etc ready to fit.

something that fell out:

the 4 bent valves:

guides are still ok tho so thats ok

1 mashed combustion chamber:

exhaust port on my head:

flowed inlet:

inlet with trimmed guides etc:

the head has 3 stage seats and the valves have 2 stage seats.

the head is forsale, it will be fully repaired, would reuse it but im going to get another head done differently so its easier to start fresh!

comes with cams etc!

Well said mate. Your right, this is a thread about your 1.6 engine and not on the comparission.
So how long do you wrekon its gonna take until your back to the same bhp if not more.

Thats a good bit of damage there. Glad to see you're not coming accross to the 2.0 darkside and making another 1.6 F1 engine instead

if u read mark my reply has nothing at all to do with what is better it regards that fact that you stated fitting a 2.0 defeats object well fitting a 1.6 in place of ur old 1.4 is doin same thing.

principal is same u have still got bigger capacity engine than ur previous. fact this has sold all to do with which is better

each to there own i could not give two cacks

How do you repair the combustion chamber when it is so damaged? Does it get ground back to make it all smooth again?
