You'll be extremely lucky to find a white 2 prong engined Gti.

Rob - if your's is a 2 prong head and you said you couldn't break into 15's on 1/4 mile - and mine is not a 2 prong head and I got 15.3 with just exhaust + filter, doesn't that prove this '2 prong talk is nonsense in most cases'

No cause it was damp and rained for 2 hours i was still getting 87 - 88 mph terminals

No

After 2000 they had an EGR valve on those 2 prongs...

IF you must insist on getting a 2 pronged one, it's 1999 / 2000 ONLY. after had EGR, before had none.

but later one's (single plug ecu's?) - make less power when mapped... so have that

I'd go early gti / vts then...

As they seem to get better results after mapping (which a TB'd car will be).

i.e. I've found like 02 plater's getting only 155 bhp with cams + remap, but my 98 gti got 160 bhp with cams + remap... my mates 2000 year got 159 bhp with cams + remap... It's all swings and round abouts.

Once you tune them all they all shift.

Danny: are you planning on getting any head work done at all?

If not, go for a car with a 2 prong head engine.

If you do plan on getting headwork done then it doesn't matter which head the car has.
