easily done. my current xe engine would make impreza look like a 1.1 saxo thats stalled.
But then an Impreza tuned to the same capacity as yours would eat you alive would it not ?

biased ego style opinions, that driver happens to now be semi pro and running in TA and ESC this year, so he's a very good driver
And i've seen countless XE's try to go round bends and fail miserably.

nobody is arguing that. i dont see what new information you have brought to light here?
give it a rest please. stop needlessly slagging corsas off on a corsa site. its not good for new members to read.

Well the fact you've assumed he was a bad driver, so i was just pointing out he's a very good one hence a team using him as there driver this year

no, but chirping on about corsas handling. its a chassis based massively on a nova, virtually the same really. which came out in what 1979? so im not exactly sure what your point is?
can it not be classed under the had fun with bit? its ok to have fun driving a corsa. or any car even not the best. theyre a cheap car, for cheap fun. nothing refined.
the end?

I knew it was around 177 bhp a ton, but I know that 0-100 is slightly wrong, as the Impreza will hit 100 in around 14-15 seconds, well the old uk turbo will, not the newer heavier versions.
Like you said it would be close, especially on a rolling start

problem with the above is its still talking fly wheel power. Factor in power at wheels with 4 wheel drive transmission losses and it would edge it more in favour of xe again. Rolling start obviously.

I loved my old XE corsa.. best moment involved a sapphire cosworth and a dual carridgeway - absolutely owned it..
the guy who owned it flashed me over while his passenger pissed himself laughing wanting to know what was under the bonnet...
