Who has then James? I know I haven't. Mention it once in a while, but certainly not every post. In fact, I can't remember the last time i posted in one of your car posts, as I generally read them but don't reply.
so where exactly, and why exactly, are you getting your g-string in a twist?

there's always a different alternative, be it better or just has more bragging rights.
all the foci will sell, because people fall for it, same as people pay more for something in black when it normally only comes in white or vice versa..

because people post up car posts, then bike people tell you how many bikes you could get for that will be much faster, or getting a bike for fun would be a better option etc etc
its a genral thing, you are one of a few that do it

comparing a bike to a car is ridiculous, its like comparing a garden shed to a house and saying well i can live in the shed and it costs me 1000 times less than your house

Well it wasn't intended like that, it was just an example dude. As I say, you could buy a lot of car, and "something" else with the cash. I mearly used a motorcycle as an example, and didn't (at the time)reference how much better the bike would be. i could have expanded it more I guess, but still, dude, ant in pants or what?
It'll go like the clappers, probably handle quite well, and you do have the exclusivity of having a limited edition, but I personally wouldn't fork out the cash (if i even had it ) for it. I'd rather get another limited type of car and have something else.
Friends again xxxx ?

You sure about that, I had a play with a 600 gixxer a while back and he could not pass me in a straight line in my LCR (true story lol) he even stopped me and said he was very impressed with the car and that he expected to leave me for dead.
This was on the move I might add.
As some have said tho, the Ford nuts will buy the focus no bother and if past RS's have told us anything they hold there value VERY well so its a bit of an investment. Its just a waste of £35k to buy one and have it in wrapped in cotton wool to sit in a garage most of the year.

Not at all mate, look at the series 1 RS turbos, a very clean mint example will fetch as much as £8k. Thats a hell of a lot of money for a 20yr old escort.
I know its no where near £35k but like you say the focus RS is imo just as iconic as the cosworths.

This hurts as you could of bought a clean restored one for circa 4.5-5k last year.
Noticed they had crept up a lot but imo thats e30 m3/Lancia Intergralle (non gay 8v) money

Looks nice.
However £35k will get you a 996 Turbo/GT3 or a F355.
I wonder how much a RS500 Focus will be worth after a few years! Its surely going to depreciate a good bit?
