Exactly, the world is a living thing and is always changing, it is never going to stay the same. Even our position in our orbit is constantly changing and the rotation slowing (albeit very very slowly)
Temperatures will go up and down over time, you only have to look into the past to see the earth was once a raging hot inferno and it has also had ice ages.

Large natural disasters have always been recorded nath.
Smaller ones that are morelikely to be picked up by technology will be much smaller or non human threatening events.
