I have no decency though Matt. No slander in there but I didn't think it was right from the start.

Tact is my middle name.
Oh, actually it's not.
I call things how I see them, no point in dressing things up. A spade is a spade not a garden re-arranging implement or something.

All this Pakistan flood scenario is pissing me off. Everywere i go i'm seeing donate this..donate that.. why the fuck can't the powers of this world just click there fingers and sort it out!!?? it's not like anyone is going to complain that they have wasted all the money? Instead it come down the already cash strapped public to bail them out.
This world is in a sorry state.

Yeah I always think I've enough shit to deal with in my life without helping every bugger else out. Its harsh but you've got to look after No.1! Instead of worrying about Pakistan why don't we spend a bit more time worrying about things closer to home that actually affect us on a day to day basis.

Pretty much my opinion on it.
Where's the creator of the thread to set things straight?
The Pakistan floods, you live on a flood plain, don't moan when you get wet. I therefore, am out.
Out of interest, as they only needed £16,000 what happens with the extra £7,000 that has been raised?

whilst I didn't voice my opinion at the time, I did agree with Let's and Steve's stand point, whilst not necessarily agreeing with the degree of harshness by Let, I did agree with the sentiment. Everytime I go away I sort insurance, I have an annual policy and I get a separate DogTag policy for Snowboarding as I need to know if the worst happens that off mountain recovery and all medical bills are covered. I knwo one English guy who had a compound fracture of the femur and apart from a few nurofen, the French Medical team wouldn't treat him at all until his partner went back to their hotel - which was a good 2 hours ski away; got the documents and came back. They'd have left him there in pain until he either produced the documents or paid the horrendous fees regardless of E111 because the surgeries/practices in the Mountains are all privately run!
My insurance for boarding is instant, they send you a dog tag which has log in detail, name ref no. etc - if you go to the hospital, they can log on to the site, see you're cover and what you're covered for and you get treated.
I go to the hassle of getting myself covered - why didn't these? Its pennies in reality and the peace of mind in the event of the worst case scenario is worth it

Apparently all the money given to charity after that Christmas eve tsunami the other year hasn't been spent yet and loads of people are still homeless!?! Charities are just as corrupt as third Wotld Governments, well some are.
