Were you able to get them all entering and exiting the wall in the same place?
Tempted to get a cheap rod set and have a go.

They come out of a hole behind the TV and at the bottom of the wall I took the skirting off and knocked a hole out behind that too. I started off with those rods but ended up using loads of different implements, string with a screw on the end being one of the most useful.
Suppose you can't really go wrong. Will need a hole behind the TV anyway. Make that and see how you get on. If it's a no go just get it done the other way.

Love that Wharfedale kit. How are you finding it?
Think I'd have kept the fronts on, personally. The steel rings look nice, but it's just a bit busy looking without the fronts.

Not been in long, so it's a little sparse at the minute.

The other half didn't want imposing speakers so went with Boston XS SE's for the speakers to start off with which were really good value and still sound pretty good. It's a 46"D6530 Samsung LED TV, which is due an upgrade soon.
I actually consciously looked for a house without a fireplace so the TV could be placed at the end of the room with the sofa located front on.
Projector next on the list.

I really like that colour wall!
I like the look of those Bostons. Very nearly went for them as I was undecided about a tiny foot print install or bigger speakers!

Existing home cinema is just 2.0 (decent fronts). What would corsa sporters suggest next; sub or centre?

So, Sub or Center?

Sub!
First off, a good sub has a bigger impact on sound quality than pretty much any component in your setup.
A great sub can compensate (to some degree) for small or shitty speakers and can make good speakers sound even better.
Secondly, a center speaker isn't worth anything without sub and rears. I've never heard of anybody running a 3.0 setup with fronts and a centre.

anyone else find smart tvs a load of shit especially the web app on samsung? not quite a computer and really hard / time consuming to navigate around compared to a computer...
anyway Ive just added a mac mini to my lounge tv setup as my landlord (after a year) still hasn't fixed the aerial on the roof and Im not wanting to fork out for sky since my housemate wont contribute... I dont want much live tv either pretty much just the footy
set up is:
Samsung 50'' hd 3d smart tv
apple mac mini in one of the draws along with the apple time capsule
logitech z553 2.1 speaker system (not bad for a simple cheapy jobby)
logitech c920 webcam (just for skype really)
also have a hdmi connection to my pc so i can play fifa etc from that since i got rid of my old ps3

As a surround setup it has some issues with missing format support.
As a streaming setup it's great.

I don't need anything worth thousands, just want something better than the TV speakers.
Moving into an apartment at the end of the month, so don't need anything mega.

It seems OK based on the reviews and general internet reviews.

Would imagine you get pretty much what you pay for. I wouldn't expect much from it, but I know plenty of people who'd be satisfied with something like that.
