Sentencing predications then:
For the Drink drive - 18 month ban, reducable if he completes a course. £200 fine
For the TWOC - £250 fine, 100hrs unpaid work.
Cant see a prison sentence off this in all honesty - first offence, previous (non-internet) good charachter, employed etc etc.

apart from the caution for swearing at a police officer.
I don't see a sentence but it depends on how he is in court, if he shows clear remorse and if they're willing to accept that he is indeed that stupid; then probably not but then again they might choose to make an example out of him and give him a 12 week probabtion with 18 month ban. Given the over stretched nature of the prison servcie though, I doubt it

Depends what mood the judge is in as well. Friend of mine got done for drink driving and had the book thrown at him because the judge was in a foul mood as the person in the court just before had tried to throw a chair at her :/
A guy that friend knows did something similar to him, but worse, and got off far lighter. Just luck of the draw sometimes I think.

Magistrates and Crown court are two entirely separate things but in this case, probably to save costs) they share the same building so the 'court building' is both a crown court and magistrate's court; they're still separate entities, just sharing resources

Definitely not in the Crown Court today:

Just trying to find a good magistrates list at the moment.

There's a general strike today too - they're picketing outside the courts in Birmingham so it might not be happening today.

Correct. As per earlier in the thread a lot of Courts are now combined as in they are in the same building. The Mags and Crown are still serperate Courts.
Link to Exeter Mags - http://www.thelawpages.com/magistrates-county-crown-court/Exeter-Magistrates-Court-196.html
EDIT - It'll probably appear here as well: http://www.thisisdevon.co.uk/Court/story-11722924-detail/story.html

There's no way this is real, or at least if it is real then it's actually one of his mates.

Seems like you can be done for it if you drive dangerously or damage the vehicle? (If I've read it correctly).

Yeah I wasn't clear, either way that isn't the charge for that twat.
Actually pissed off we're even discussing the little cunt. As I said in my first post, I pay money and demonstrate restraint in my habits for the privilege of driving a car.
Not sure if we've started the book yet but I'm going for a harshly worded telling off and a fine roughly comparable to the price of taxing the car he stole.
Getting mad typing that, little cunt. Costing me loads to do it legally.

surely thats as a result of repeated non payments of fines because of not having a licence? surely not just straight 14 days??

Like I said if this is real then he should at least be expecting a heavy fine and community service.
