I'm pretty sure that in the old days of the lottery a syndicate bought every combination when it was a multi rollover up to 30m or something. Obviously you don't just get the top prize you get all of the other prizes as well.

always wondered about that. surely billionaires could just buy every combination of ticket possible. as long as the prize money is more than you've paid out in tickets, the only risk you have is someone else having the same numbers as you (highly unlikely in the euro's).

But IF someone had the winning line then thats the prize halved straight away.
PLus theres prob a limit on how many tickets you can buy in one go so would be hard to put on millions of lines
