I wouldnt mind giving that a go to be honest.
I have got a couple of books '100 greatest climbs' and 'another 100 greatest climbs' in Britain. I will take a look see if thats in there.
Theres only 2 out of the 200 climbs near me. Zig Zag hill and Gold Hill (cobbled from the hovis adverts) both in Shaftesbury.
Did Zig Zag a few months back and approached it with way too much respect. did it in 10 1 which was middle of the leader board on Strava but i think I could do sub 9 mins.

Good ride that you did, at the minute I dont think I could go much over 70 miles. 100+ miles is tough even when you are used to the miles.
Cheers, tbf I suprised myself as the furthest I had done to that point was 50miles.
group ride around some of the cat and fiddle? (the lad i did the llangollen ride with has done the brian roukes ride through the cat and fiddle which was 55miles I think?, he said that was easier than the ride on sunday).

New top speed of 41.9mph and did a mile in 2mins 35 seconds. Happy with that considering I've got a broken toe. Proper northern effort.

That's just lame, 650b and 29er I could understand, but only having 29er? Weird.

This is taken from the British Downhill Series Facebook page.
quote:
Lets play find a thief! Jon Walsh has had a nightmare, could be you next.
I've had a bit of a rubbish afternoon, found out that my workshop was broken into yesterday and been cleaned out. Biking is my life as it is for all of us I expect, and it's all been taken in one go.
The bikes that were taken are as in the list below, if you know of any sensible places I can post the information then please let me know. The incident occurred in Coedpoeth, Wrexham between 10am and 12pm Monday 20th May, and I have also attached a CCTV image of the suspected intruder, our CCTV caught him arriving and loitering around the workshops for two hours.
They entered the premises by breaking down a solid block wall at the rear (actually not joking, they took out a wall!), we have a steel security door and CCTV only covering the front so we've got no coverage of the bikes actually being wheeled away.
Thanks for reading and pass on the information if you feel anyone else might be able to help, watch your gear guys.

Something came up which meant I couldn't do my normal Thursday evening ride, I decided to go out this morning instead. Headed out about 6am for a quick blast, feels quite good to have got a ride in before work! May make it regular but will definitely eat something first next time, had to get of and push up first hill

Im considering getting into a routing of up at 5.30, 2 hour ride every day. Its just too easy to slack off in the evenings.
Its also lovely in the mornings suring the summer....if we get one

I always ride to work anyway but don't really count those as riding not being a roadie! But definitely do feel better and more awake!
Dr. Pepper - get some fat tyres and join me up Shotover
