We have been linked with a French striker called Nolan Roux ( ) who plays for Brest ( ). Quite an average goal scoring record (about 1 in 2.5) and many of those goals were in Ligue 2. He's 23 and apparently he's a bit of a poacher, has a decent shot and is a bit greedy (read comparissons with Defoe). I'd think this would be a cheaper option to Wickham, although possibly an addition to.

Confirmation from LFC that Marveaux didn't fail his medical at Liverpool.
Russ, we've only sold Nolan so far and let a few geniatrics go. There seems to be a lot of players who are 'available' though.
