I suppose it does look a little blown out, but it wasn't done intentionally. Certainly not to make the job of blending something in a little easier. Thats not something i'd struggle with
It must just have happened when I adjusted the levels.
Its not as if there is a lot of detail to lose anyway.

I've started mine, making it clean and subtle but having trouble with the colour change as the pics not taking too well to it.

Yeah, it can be a pain in the arse for a while, but when all the ideas start coming together, and the design looks good I start having fun.
