Good picture Robin.

Thats just a small VXR lump. Look it has the "straight out the turbo CAT" with the main CAT on the exhaust.

Fairly big IC for a standard car, and the inlet manifold looks so simple, straight in, probably 1 long round chamber with 4 inlet ports and the throttle body at the end of the black pipe (Connecting to the IM)...

Baby VXR

Edit, read thats for the merivia, for another 20-30bhp flow, its gonna be a fair bit bigger/deeper.

200-220 easy with an exhaust and a remap, maybe even more, morelike 250 if its anything like the astra lump....

Does anyone know, does the 1.6 come with under piston oil spray bars, uprated rods etc??

seriously this engine will have massive tuning potential-sodium filled valves to cope with big power?? simplified intake system!!

will be a pokey unit.

tbh in some photo's it looks awesome, the interior is lush, but it still has the d shape etc which i think is awful.

this engine has been in development for quite a while. main focus was to produce reliable power without too much strain. this engine will easily see 250bhp for little money.

i will copy and paste engine spec from tis2000 tomorrow.

FMIC...

You should see the size of the aftermarket one being developed.... Its f-ing HUGGGGEEEEE... But is being designed to keep lag to a minimum, massivly decrease inlet temps and not really be visable.

Apart from the software upgrade isn't this the only difference between the Astra G Z20LET and the Astra H Z20LER?

Vauxhall should of just designed it around the Pug 106 GTi.

But people still wouldn't like it cos it would have a Vauxhall badge.
