after pissing around with various ideas on the alternator belt catching the bracket
i have filed down the edge of the bracket a few mm, then spaced it away from the block a few mm, and it seems to have worked.
the belt is mega close when fitted, i may put a shorter belt on but it has about 3mm of clearence and is tight

i had a vectra shaped speed bump. that is now gone
gonna pick up a short alt belt and some welding rods today. se if i can finalise the alternator setup tomorow
if i have time ill do the other driveshaft and arm etc.
i also have a devious plan for the battery and extinguiser pulls, youll all have to wait and see

todays jobs, finally found and modded fabricated enough pipes and bits of steel pipe etc with the correct step up and downs to sort the crankcase breather system properly around the inlet.
so many times ive seen this bodged so i did my best to do it properly
then i fitted the exhaust, its not sitting right at all, so will need adjusting when im in a better mood
and i rubbed down and slapped a coat of paint on the rear arb. then fitted it. "while it was wet as it started to rain, bolted it down and thats all i got done
