Wolves 4 Blackburn 2 - (robinson in goal )

Played well aparently against a fairly strong Blackburn squad. Hopefully we will bring it into the season coming, and score a few more goals than the plenty of dire 0-0 1-1 draws last season.

i couldnt believe it i was expecting to loose 1-0. our biggest problem last year was scoring goals, when you look at Sandwell they were conceding 3/4 goals some games and still winning. where we were drawing 1-1 and scraping 1-0's and 2-1's. i dont want to get my hopes up though

You were missing Ferguson and Cuellar, you didn't have half a team

Even walter smith said we looked far superior then Rangers, really happy with how the young lads and new players are settling in.

Great result for us yesterday - and you say half a team but did you see our own line up....Plessis, Insua, Darby, Spearing and Nemeth as youngsters, and a few of the new guys in there too.

4-0

Whole team played well tbh.

Torres and Keane linked up well at times but its going to take time to really forge a proper partnership. Plessis keeps looking better and better in the middle, as did Spearing when he came on actually.

Ngog and Nemeth both looked too!

Yeah it sounded like everyone had a really good game. Shame keane couldn't have sneaked a goal but you can't have everything it's always gonna take a bit of time to get used to which parts of the picth they want to occupy and knowing little runs that the other is going to make etc I reckon it will come good given some real time though

I am really excited for some of these young players now, I hope rafa gives some of them a proper shot this season, and I hope we don't buy any more strikers even if voronin goes, I think ngog or nemeth could occupy the 4th/5th striker spot on the bench now.

I do think he'll give them a chance, especially seeing how much he has used them in pre-season. With the 7 subs next season he can throw a few of them on the bench each week and if we are winning games throw them on to give them the experience.

Insua, Darby, Spearing, Plessis, Nemeth, Pacheco and Ngog are all likely to get some good run outs this season IMO.

He's definately experiemented alot in preseason with the younger lads which has got me really excited about the prospect of a few of them, I hope he's building the next generation of players rather than polishing them before selling!

I love the 7 subs rule it can only be good for young talent as mentioned in context of above. I hope some of them can forge places in the 1st team, it would be nice to see some really young players who've been at the club for a bit reap the rewards.
