It's not too bad really. A few years ago I was earing close to double my age but there was no security.
I took a pretty big paycut to get this job but it's probably one of the most secure jobs you can get and there's massive chances for progression. By the end of 2011 I'll be back up to what I was earning previously with even more prospects

Then you obviously can't want a job as bad as you claim

I do really want a job. Like i said earlier, i hate no having money to do things. ATM i only have £25 left in my bacnk account. Isn't it a positive that i don't want to claim JSA even though im entitled to it? I don't want to take the money off people who work hard to earn it.
Clearly he really wants a job.

I worked for Mcdonalds for 2.5years, and do you know what the worst part of that job was? The arseholes who think you're a thick idiot with no prospects.
McDonald's put me through a management course after 1.5years of me working there, leaving me in charge of my own store at times. And most people who work there are in university etc. I also left with a First Aid at work certificate, a Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety.
It's not the best job in the world, but what's better than getting paid a pretty decent hourly wage to have a laugh?
It gave me some pretty decent things to put on my CV put it that way.

Exactly so it is quite a good rule to follow, not for PT or short stint jobs however.
Then for those with motivation its double your age from around 30 until your 35 but i think thats only a select few. Earn your age is more realistic.

I'm on 12k at the moment Wouldn't mind more but I'm surviving on this for now Epic prospects at this job and might be doing a course next year I think. Nobody managerial has said anything about it yet, but most people seem to think it's the norm unless you're already appropriately qualified. I did Mechanical Engineering in college but that was a more general and theoretical thing, I would do an HNC in Building Services Engineering I think.
Pay rise and bonuses at the end of the year

I read The Guardian, but they are mainly managerial jobs. There are a few carer ones but you need a health care qualification.
