I would say you were completely insane to buy one of those new Golfs for that money.

Scirocco R's £26k is it not?

Still lots of pennies for a hatchback, although thats the new price & i'll never buy new.

My M3's new price all spec'd up was £52k, I paid £17.5, thats some loss over 4yrs!!

I think i'd have a breakdown if I bought a new car & lost all that money on it!!

£26k is in the budget, spec it up im sure it'll come to more though. I spec'd up an S5 the other day, and a TT-RS. £50k odd each of them. My word I laughed (and cried, I wanted an S5 convertable next, booooooo )

Im curious about this vinyl wrap malarky?

How do you detail such a thing? surely you cant wax it etc?

What about after washing, how does it dry i expect it will leave all manner of traces of watermarks etc.

how hard wearing would this stuff be?

You'd need to measure the vinyl using a paint depth guage before you polish it

well i guess you can add a layer of wax to anything for protection purposes.

Would carnuba waxes adhere to it properly or would it just end up as a mess. As you can tell I know fuck all about vinyl wrapped cars
