sorry if this sounds daft but is there any chance of damaging your car on the dyno? is it just a case of the driving it on or do they sit and rev the death out of it?

Yes places left and you can turn up on the day and pay, it doesnt matter how powerfull your car is, it's more about finding out how it is running.
