most people that make this assumption have never driven a convertable, however when asked they will say, yeah borrowed a mates, or took my parents out! drive a proper sports convertable and they will change there mind, however they wont admit to it!
nothing beats roof down cruising in the summer, noise of the engine ripping and the chicks

i dont think i could put up with the pulling up at lights and everyone being able to see in and listening to your music etc, i would just feel like a plank

not a complex, i do so why it would appeal to people and i imagine on a empty country road in the summer its ace but when your in urban areas etc i just cringe when i see people like that.

I get free diesel with the works van however and would rather take that a drive knowing full well I wasn't paying for it

it is quite nice to have a roof down mid summer etc, but thats there only quality 9/10 the hard top variant looks better, and most people think you're a poser, apart fomr the owners of soft tops

but tbf when i was stuck in traffic with the roof down in slough the other week i feared for my life, didnt worry about people hearing my right said fred greatest hits album though
