your welding aint good bro, you would of been better of fibreglassin imo lol

best to read properly on youtube the net etc on how to 'let in' repair panels and how important weld penentration is !

practice does make perfect though so practice on a saxo or summat french and roten lol ,someones gonna be in for a lovely surprise in 15 years time pmsl

Have to agree with the others, as you said practise makes perfect but only if your doing it right in the first place. This is some I done the other day, I've not had that much welding experience its just something I've always enjoyed.

Some I done the other day:

As gav said good prep is key, you would be surprised at how much better your welding will be from welding on clean panels.

Like i said its not finished its just my attempt all surfaces were clean i wouldnt have attempted it if it was chassis related as its just vehicle body i thought id give it a go and its only got to last a couple of years and then will probly be stripped and scrapped as its a bit of a shed im not repairing it to make a profit its just for a run around

And the gsi currently done 2000 miles in it no major issues other than abs light on and a oil leak from oil pump bolt that needs a helicoil

Also ended up being used as a wedding car yesterday for groom and best man as there arranged transport broke down

This is my arden blue one a freind is doing all the strenthening plates bulkhead mod for power cap

My gsi was just me having a go my self but finished correctly by someone else

Also the factory sealer hides rust very well so worth giving it a tap

Daily looks good mate. Hows the GSi? I'm very jealous of it, I'd love a Carabic Blue one, easily the best colour!

Gsi is scrapped wasn't good enough to put any more time and effort into and not good enough for a family car although I regret getting rid of it
