I don't think the reasoning behind protesting is wrong, it's the way it's been conducted.
A LOT of the people 'protesting' are there just to cause a riot and don't give a toss for the reasoning behind it.
Why does this protest have to get out of hand?

Get everybody in a stadium, stick the MP's in the middle. Let a mass protest/Q&A commence and let people who want to get to work to earn money (Ironically alot of people will be doing so knowing they have to pay previous uni fees) get to fucking work. Simple. Get the fuck off the streets and stop causing fucking damage left, right & center.

mabye if labour didnt push a fuck ton of people into higher education that shouldnt have been there to begin with the education budget wouldnt need to be cut by billions and the fee's nocked up to begin with .

Myself been a student - I am appauled at some of the rioting ive seen on TV this evening. The fact is, most of these people rioting are current students but seem to have missed the point that if they are already studying their fees are not going to increase.
I honestly think its going to "separate the men from the boys" in terms of education. Granted its a hike in price but then I think its going to deter a lot of students who goto uni for the life style and not to better themselves. Im on the 2nd year of my course this year and out of 94 students who started at the beginning of the 1st year, only 40-odd came back for the 2nd year and tbh I thought it was great. There were so many knobs who used to sit in the class, constantly disrupting the lectures and just being general pricks. All of whom are nowhere to be seen this year 
As for people tarring us students with the same brush, there are a lot of inteligent students out there taking full advantage of the educational benefits universtiy offers. I for one am part of a race team this year where we are going to be racing an old formula renault chassis; giving me valuable experience and learning experiences I never would have discovered if I was still a spanner monkey for Vauxhall.
