There was a guy stuck in an astra at a junction.... he wasnt going anywhere...

Fee and I stopped, got out and went to push him. He told us not to bother he manage.... so let him have another go, then said if we just push you you'll be out in seconds. 'no no, i'm fine i'll have a run up'

Riiight....

Just left the daft cunt stuck.

Loved the video they kept running on the news of cars stuck in Aberdeen, featuring some wally in a Saab lighting the tyres trying to get up a tiny gradient.

Glasgow seems to have escaped the worst of it this time round.

why don't people carry a spade with them in this weather?

also, why don't people clear their driveway and road of built up snow?

i live at the bottom of a huge hill and have to go up my road and then a long ungritted road to get to work.

i managed it 3 weeks ago when it was bad after getting stuck and digging the mighty puma out over 10 times in 3 days so why can't everyone else dig themselves out?

lazy fuckers tbh.

Number of people driving on my back bumper today was stupid

With some of them I was purposely nudging the throttle so the back end would kick out a bit just to show them how bad it was yet they still continued to follow as if it was a dry day with perfect conditions

Went onto a really quiet business park just to test the MR2 in untouched snow and ice, didn't get stuck so it can't be that bad, had to be persistent at times but I never even considered having to get the spade out

heard that if it's below -5 then grit doesn't work?

also, having a well built fireman living across the road from you is brilliant. he was out there all day saturday clearing the bottom of the road for everyone so they could turn around there.

legend.

We've never had anyone attempt to clear the roads round here, everyone just seems to get on with it and not let it bother them, I don't think there's a car in our street that hasn't moved whilst we've had the snow and no signs of digging out anywhere apart from the neighbour that I mentioned above but his driveway's lethal in nice weather, cover it in snow and it's horrendous

I did the same on Saturday except there was a car on the other side of the road so he had nowhere to go. Don't know how we missed him

That's like when you're skiing. If it's raining at the bottom it's snowing at the top. Very strange

Chi was fine earlier Gareth! Not good if its frozen now tho! We had a bit more snow earlier but nothing to shout about. Meant to get more later tonight and 2m though. Seems to depend v much on where you are as to how bad it is! Has to be said that our council has done a shite job of clearing the roads compared to others tho!
