I had to have many parts made for my old Alvis whilst restoring her and was not cheap in the slightest as suppliers/manufacturers have you 'over a barrel' and shaft you for every penny, as they know you need the parts.

no I haven't but I'm guessing parts are hard to get as they're quite rare now

fucking lol at this thread!! and john-d you have the nerve to attempt to rip me in ever thread i make at least i buy cars that i can afford to run and maintain, even if that includes having engines rebuilt could you say the same if you bought a ferrari?

Put every penny you can afford/allowed into the sharesave.

As for the Ferarri, if you want one buy one, can't take money with you when you're gone, and when your 80 telling your grandkids how you bought a skoda superb as it was the more sensible option they'll think you're a badger.
