My missus bought a 106 quicksilver 2 years ago and on the way home I noticed the handling wasnt right, I pulled over and had a look and realised the rear axle was gooses and that the steering was very vague. This was strange as the car was mot'd that very morning. I rang the seller and they didnt answer or reply to my texts. I got the car home that night and the next day I took it to my local garage and they handed me a sheet as long as my arm with dangerous faults on it costing £550 to put right. They said who ever done the mot must have been friends with the owner and let them off with the faults. I immediately phoned the garage in question and told them what was going on and they said the person that done the mot was off on holiday

I asked to talk to the owner and they said he was also on holiday so I just said never mind I'll just phone VOSA and they can deal with it. As soon as I mentioned them the guy said he would try and phone the owner and get back to me within the hour. Unsuprisingly the same guy phoned back within 10 mins and claimed he was the owner and that I was talkin to one of the mechanics.

The end result was a cheque for £580 within 4 days of speaking to them lol.
