Affleck was great in Dogma, State of Play and The Town.
Christian Bale however has shined in almost everything he has done and has shown himself a much more diverse actor than Affleck, imo.
Bale's characters in Batman, The Fighter, 3:10 To Yuma and Harsh Times are so incredibly far apart that there can hardly be any doubt he's a class A actor.
American psycho too!
Empire of the sun also a very good Bale film.

Great film, dark knight is potentially better but that's due to the joker. Dkr had me on the edge of my seat.
My only criticism is banes voices, horribly dubbed and just sounded a bit comedy.
i thought it sounded perfect..

This. However one of the surprises in the film wasnt a shock to me as I read it in the comics.
Also I thought the cameo of a certain someone was pretty cool.
And there was a subtle reference to Killer Croc which I think some people didnt pick up on..
9.5/10
i got it, does that make me a fucking sad bastard?

I agree about Banes voice. Was spot on. Its not what you expect when you see him. Kind of more intelligent than you would think. I liked when it was quiet during the national anthem and Bane complimented the kids singing voice before blowing the shit out of the stadium. Was proper menacing!

yeah that bit, and when he says something along the lines of 'you believe the light is your ally', just sounds proper psychotic evil.

Oh yeah I remember that bit. We should start a discussion thread then we don't fill this with spoilers. Got a few things I want to ask about.

Yeah forgot it was your thread. What do you know about Banes mask? I mean from the movie not the comic book. Thalia says when she returned to the prison they had already done something to bane but didn't say what. Are we to assume it is delivering venom like in the comic book?

I chuckled to myself when I heard that, seemed like everyone else didnt notice/get it.
Now we can post spoilers. How does Bruce get from the pit back to Gotham?
He was broke, had little to no friends on the outside world because he spent 8 years by himself.
I also tried to keep count with how long they were on No Man's Land/Bruce in the pit.
Because in the comics Bruce has a son called Damian whose mum is....Talia al Ghul
Also the ending with Robin

You have to be a geek to chuckle at that sort of thing. I do it with other subjects. You have to realise also that obviously not everybody is interested enough in cartoons to gt tattoos of them. So it's not really that surprising that nobody else got it.

Is this the only batman movie where they have mentioned anything about the president? It seems that most issues in batman films are dealt with by Gotham officials.

7/10 found it quite predictable, i'm not into comics etc so don't know it from that, just worked out she was bad and that lad was going to turn into robin etc. The other film was far better I thought.

I thought he married her in the comics and had Damian who he didn't know about until he was a teenager and trained by the LOS then be becomes robin.

yeah that happens in the comics. thats why i was thinking if Talia/Miranda had time on no mans land to have a baby and ship him off to the LOS.
Also there has to be some leeway in the movies. I mean no Robin has ever been called Robin...
