Grimmy is the sacrificial lamb, it proper career suicide following someone who had a peak of nearly 8 million listeners.
Grimmy will be in there for 6 months, figures will drop to the floor, then he'll be replaced by someone else and figures will climb again.

Apart from when they did the golden hour on Fridays I've changed my clock radio to 6 Music now. Not even going to bother with Grimmy, especially seeing as it's Mills this week.

am i the only person who likes to listen to music when driving in my car, rather than listen to someone talking complete bollocks?
Same here, never listen to the radio, iPod or CD for me.
i listen to the radio purely for the variety and randomness of the songs.
love it when a song comes on i haven't heard for years. a bit different to me playing my ipod over and over again or the same old CD.
I have enough on my iPod to keep me entertained. Commercial radio is full of adverts and your never gonna hear a song you haven't heard for years on radio 1
it's all about the Kisstory

I never used to mind staying in work until 5pm on Fridays for the golden hour, shame they ended it .
Oh well, leave at 4pm now, silver lining and all that

Fridays at 5pm on R1 are shite now. Used to get me right in the mood for a few beers. Now it's just a bunch of Uni cunts picking shit tunes for an hour.

I just listen to Capital in the morning now for the banter, not sure you'll get the same show as me though, if at all.

Chris Moyles was a bellend for that.
At least with Grimmy he has a voice you can tolerate. But usually I'm a radio2 person.

Can't disagree more, Grimmy's voice is like having your penis rubbed against a cheese grater.
And Moyles's banter made the show, it certainly wasn't the music.

What he said. Haven't listened to Radio 1 since Moyles left, removed it from the preset in my car ! Genuinly miss Moyles, been a long time coming but have to say it feels like a year or 2 too soon.
