Yerp exactly. Just been out in the garage scraping all the shite off the lights and have resealed them with a proper three stage windscreen bond.
Sealed up quite nicely. Hopefully they will be dryed before the end of the night so I can get them back in the car.

Spend a few hours after work. Cleaning the old stuff off and reapplying some crazy 3 stage windscreen bond sealant.
After two hours it's set and spot on.
What you guys thing?

Get some pictures of them fitted tomorrow.

You'd have been just as fine using some normal silicone sealant. Used those on my headlamps and they've been fine for over a year.

I know. But pricey brought some weird silicone sealant. Which didn't work. Then we didn't have any black silicone sealant in work. Just this windscreen bond.
Epic stuff

Had a bit of a hurricane in Liverpool last night so the plastic bags covering my lights weren't holding up. So at half 12 in the pissing rain and wind. I fitted my lights to try stop my boot from flooding haha
Anyways
Before

After

Thoughts? Hopefully do the front ones next weekend

Like that one. But with a different rear bumper as that's the GP rear bumper

Or craft a r56 gp diffuser to fit

Not a fan? I like the r46 diffuser more than the gp to be honest.
It's last on a long list though to be fair haha

Front lights this weekend.
Then paintwork and g-wing. Then interior. Then maybe a diffuser.

Got started on my lights today. It's not exactly a nice job atall. Rears were a lot Easyer
As always when working on my car I had my trusty sidekick Henry

Removed.

Rings removed

Bulbs removed

Lenses marked so I can realign them

Lenses removed and inside facia and projector rings removed from housing

All the gay chrome removed and keyed

Primed

Projector rings painted hyper blue

Outer facias painted black

And left to dry for the night. Will refit and rebuild tomorrow and post some finished pictures.

So today I finally finished my lights.
I lacquered the blue bits first thing this morning. Then rebuilt them with the new headlight rings too.

And a couple of quick fitted pictures

Made up with how they came out to be honest.
Thoughts?
