Yep got it in one there, love it so much power. Drove my brothers 1.6 astra yesterday and it felt like a tractor in comparison.

Think if I put 15s on which are sitting in my garage i'll be scraping the car off the floor, its low enough as it is, but would love to see how much of a difference it would make with the power!

I went off corsa 2/0l's but now i'm tempted again, everybody would under estimate you.
was speaking to my mate last night he pretends he knows things and wassaying the 2.0 8v is way more tuneable than the 2.0 16v. he would not accept he was wrong. anyone actually fitted the 2.0 8v?

16V allow more air in at higher revs than 8v assuming valve size is of normalish size. however airspeed is slower with 8V which is why some 16V engien feel very flat at low revs. this is also why 16V engein make their peak torque higer up the rev range. this however can be misleading as most cars nowadays have very flat torque curves through out the mid range. the difference between the VTS and the VTR is the fact that the 16V motor makes more torque further up the rev range and hence produces more power. the VTS actually only makes a few more lb ft of torque more than the VTR.

only the sri 130 lump had 130bhp. most 2.0 8v are 115bhp, the sri lumps are really good though! dont think they are more tunable, just that there cheaper to work on
