NHS Direct say it needs a face to face. I guess there would as there is no verbal symptoms to say in order to be assessed.

Looks like I have a damaged rotator cuff. Nurse assessed and I'm booked in for the trauma/fracture clinic on Wednesday. Doubt I'll get a scan then but so could be a while before I know for sure.
Dad ruptured his rotator cuff. Was an opp and 8 months off the bike.

So, what ever swelling there was (or impact pain/bruising) has ceased. Now it is just the injury. Keeps pinching and twinging. Feels like a muscle keeps getting caught between bone.
Horrendous.

Went and did the north face trail at grizedale forest. It was fairly easy to ride and nothing major in it at all. Covered the 12 mile including the black in an hour and a half so considering it took that long to drive there, I'd not go back and do it again for a while. I'm guessing its built for southern tourists, it's about 10% the enjoyment of whinlatter and if anything I'd say more of a blue trail.
Exercise I suppose though.

I did a ride up to the cat on my MTB, had some shifting issues which I have experienced a bit recently, came home and messed around with it, thought I had sorted it, happened again. Messed for a bit longer and again thought I had cured it and it happened again. Had epic rage kicked the rear mech, broke a spoke and ruined a XTR shadow plus rear mech! Lesson learned.

Are you actually going to wait the 4 weeks? I'd be among it next weekend with some pain killers and whiskey!

I got back on my bike the week after I'd re-arranged my face and spazzed my wrist. Glad I didn't wait or it would of put me off I think

Problem is I can't reach the bars let alone move them. Can't reach or move steering wheel in my car either.
Will see what physio says in terms of getting back on it.

Bloody hell I've broken my bike. One of the bearings in the evo link part has collapsed and is making an awful creaking noise ffs. Probably wont be able to get it sorted in time for the weekend trip to llandegla ffs.

deano i think you need to bulk up a little bit, try hitting some weights as soft tissue damage is no more than a bruise

Nic, bearings can be easy enough to change. Search Katec bearings on Ebay. I Changed all of mine myself with one of his kits

I undoubtedly do as the last time I went physio he said I should be bigger at 25 but also now is the right time to do it as it is harder the later in life.
But there's bulking out then there is smashing into a tree on a DH bike run with your shoulder at probably 10mph.
Consultant said I would have broken something if it wasn't for the armour so it is certainly more than a tradional bruise.

pretty much hoping its a warranty job as its only 5 months old lol. But yeah a mate had to rebuild his remedy couple of weeks ago seemed simple enough. Will have a look at them bearings for prices in case I have to fix it myself.
