Viber uses your phone contacts list
Skype you have to get whoever you want to talk to to register and give them your username and then add you and they have to be online to talk
Vibers like making a standard phone call but through wifi and with much better sound quality and no getting cut off due to poor signal

Apparently we're T minus 10 days for iOS 4.3, with personal hotspots. I wonder how it'll be implemented so that the operators can rip us off for the privilege.
We're meant to see the new iPad next week too.

Nice. Although been doing that for ages for free.
I had a dream last night Apples next iOS, that it will include the capability to drag photos and other media between idevices (ie. iPhone to iPad or iPad to iMac) though thin air, like on Avatar.

anyone else having trouble sending an mms?
Mine stuggles with the large file sizes.
They email fine but often fail via mms
pretty sure it's due to O2/Tesco's 2mb mms limit and because the crappy iPhone doesn't reduce the picture size like other phones. It reduces the size on email but not on mms.

500mb isn't a lot, that's just what o2 want average Joe to think, which the obviously do.
If the majority of people didn't use over 500mb why would they cap it?
Surely the tiny percentage of high users would average out with the low users if that was the case, negating the need to cap everyone
