I think they are better in some respects. I see more daylight than my missus who works indoors all day. It is the constant changes that are bad for you. I like perm nights

I used to be on rotation in a job in Bangor. Didn't like it very much tbh. The only good thing is, it's nice and peaceful at night.

As Ste said, permanent nights is much better than days or shift work, I love it.

Not long home, but can't sleep much tonight as I have a day course on 'Valuing Time' on Wednesday, fucking yay. So need to make sure I'll be able to get to sleep at a decent time tomorrow.

Yeah it's shit, I work permanent nights fortunately so it doesn't happen to often but for things like courses, medicals etc it's all in the daytime. Just such a stupidly pointless course.

I wish I could, but they'll only send me back on it lol. I could just sleep loads tonight and just grab a couple of hours tomorrow but I have things to do tomorrow anyway

I went on that course, what a load of shit lol.

Spent tonight down Paddington fixing something that caused a big failure on Sunday morning due to partly error on my part All sorted now with just a few slapped wrists.

84? you need to get signed up to the European Working Time Directive. We are limited to 38 hours or it's illegal to waork after that.

isn't it 48hours under the european working time directive, not sure how to look at this, in my work we do 2 weeks of nights in a 12 week period - 7 nights of 8hours = 56hours never opted out that's for sure!

wouldnt mind if were doing a constructive rewarding job ste, but i aint! see nothing after a shift apart from jobs that still need doing, cannae find anything else local though!

just been told tonight we are having overtime every night until august.

that 9hours mon-thurs 10hours friday and maybe even a sunday every week. so gonna try save up as much as possible and put it towards a new car

I still have one more to go after this one 7pm - 7am is actually easy, until I have to get up about 12 in the afternoon on Saturday to adjust myself to the 7am - 7pm the week after

Eck - i know what u mean, I still have 3 x 11pm - 8am shifts left then i have to wake myself up Monday at 12 so i can adjust back to 8am - 4pm shifts
