Ive got a mio now and still not that accurate. Seems to get worse when uploaded to strava

Never had an issue with My Garmin and the accuracy on Strava

People keep telling me I need to use strava so they can follow my Lejog training .... thought would give it another bash - personally I prefer Micoach due to the voice coaching and updates.

Went on a chilled 50 miler today that escalated into a century....Forgot to restart strava after coffee stop so it missed a few miles off but it was basically the same route as my first 100 miler. 52 minutes quicker than my first century (1.2mph faster) Paced it extremely well this time maintaining a steady 16.5 mph until I hit oxford at rush hour. Felt a hell off a lot stronger than my last go at the distance, no cramps or sickness this time around. I stopped for a sandwich after about 30 miles then just quick food,drink and stretching stops along the way....been struggling to fit the rides in through July so its nice to stick a century in

have to agree - its annoying when it gets it wrong. My Adidas MiCoach has never let me down, strava seems to get something wrong almost every ride .... not sure if its worth all the sharing and sections to get duff stats

kinda see why i deleted strava the first time and stuck with endomondo as it just tracks the whole lot in one go and seems bang on.

First ride out. Bang on 4 weeks since I binned it at the Forest of Dean. Had 3 sessions of physio and shite loads of exercises.

You are going to NEED to start doing a lot more climbing in your rides soon mate.

Cornwall, Devon, Lake District and Scotland you will be hitting nearly 10,000ft of elevation, possibly more, in a day. The sooner you start working on hills the easier you will find it (obviously)

Wish I had a Garmin/Strava when I did LeJoG. Talk of doing it the other way round one day.

Climbing is going to be my focus from August, I'm
Shit at it but I do enjoy trying.... Got a Couple of weekend trips away planned to tackle some decent climbs.... My plan was to get used to multiple hours on the bike over the summer .... And to lose as much fat as possible .... Then to hit the gym hard over winter ... I want to then focus purely on cold weather climbing from January till I go in April

Noticed on Strava there are a few decent hills just south of Oxford. Segments are called Pishill and the other is Swyncombe.

Until recently was on a specialized sirrus hybrid - done over 1000 miles on that since April ..... Now I'm on a new specialized sectour elite - this will be what I'm using for lejog with rear panier set

Having a day off biking to work as I'm off up the mountains after work on the more entertaining bike. Legs feel like they are gonna drop off anyway. Definitely nowhere near as fit as I was at the start of the year.

not a lot really. do 10 lots at 50kg, 8 at 60kg then 6 at 70kg and repeat it 3 times. 240kg on leg press is the most i can manage.
