no, the modification of generic shopping cars scene is dead, i find classics are the big thing now, those who have the money would buy a 60's ferrari over a new one.
I think you just got into a weird scene and were a bit blinded by bhp figures etc, not actually into the cars.

Civics are in the 7's state side,
And 8's all motor.
theres no 8 second all motors that iv heard of, i think that driveshaft shop black and green civic could be the quickest with 9's

Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not about, world's a big place.
Literally just type 8 sec all motor into youtube and it comes up.

fastest all motor car in the states is the driveshaft shop civic on a full chassis with a 9.6 or 9.7 i think...
i could be wrong but their street class entails having full dash and even full glass i believe

Wonder if illegal betting and running drugs for cash to buy car parts would make it more exciting?

I think so.
It's never interested me, I just see it as no matter what the car runs you'll always want it to go faster.
So you're constantly chasing Time and spending money to do so

Yep, building a car you can only drive every so often, doing about 4-5 runs in a day and then it breaking and having to fix it, never seen a completed drag car

Still goes on at Bishopscourt in Northern Ireland a few times a year at least. I took an old '88 Astra GTE 16v with 144k and managed 15.3. Was a while ago now. More recently the mate took a c20xe stripped Corsa and did a 14.6 I think. Good craic and a good day out, but I've only really been at the amateur stuff.

its like fixing up an old unpopular vw that nobody has heard of or likes, then trying to pretend it's a cool car to strangers on the Internet

You need a more genuine opinion, you know deep down the corrado is indeed pretty special.
