its a old cav ecu, when the cav had a carb, but no injectors. it controls the dizzy timing and has a map sensor to read manifold pressure and adjusts the timing to suit

mainly cos of the dizzy its running, if i changed the dizzy to the other type i wouldn't need it.

first off, im sore. not stopped all weekend pretty much.
took the exhaust off w-l and fitted it to chrex/chris's car.
then took his exhaust and fitted it to mine, my decta is still blowing at the uni join so i gotta fabricate something for that.

right, heres what i got done,
fitted bonnet catch's they work now,
exhaust as said,
haeneses went in.
dials "had murder getting all the bits working, and i do mean all of them every single function had to be modyfy'd to work"

started off with speedo "electronic" then dash lights. indicator, flash, fog, battery, oil pressure, engine temp, then rev meter.
not all looms have a rev wire in the loom as i found out and then made one for it.

made the loom for the ecu to run, and found the dizzy plug and dizzy both suspect so thats the next job. along with a new handbrake switch.

connected gear linkage

removed damaged plastic arch's

made up a dash panel it isnt finished yet but needs a few more switch's etc

fitted 2 of the three pulls for fire and electrics

fitted the mirrors

on the plus side, it now moves under its own power.

still got loads of wireing to do, and tons of those little jobs that seem to take forever.

i only got a few photo's at the end of today. been to busy to take them as i went.

bonnet

pulls

dash panel "not finished"

lots of wireing to do

harneses

custom colour paint? would look nice.

like a pearlescent 2 tone ice white that goes light blue as you go past...?

whats the limiter set at?

If the bottom end is has uprated studs, etc etc then why not see where it leads to. Its a cheap enough engine simply replace if you whap a rod through the block

REVS!!!!!!

The lack of weight really makes the car lively

6.2 i think it cut in,
bottom end is a unknown, could be made stronger, it couldd be std.
i have a spare block/engine, gonna use it it first, with this months spending to get it done, i have no money left, none, at all.
its first trip will be pvs, then when ive been payd ill move it on a little. track days etc
