I've just got off the phone to Charly (his GF). Said that later on today they are going to try and wake him up a little.
He's still on a ventilator but not on any drugs just a pain killer.
They might be letting Monster have a laptop when he's more responsive and he'll be able to talk to you all. But that might be a week or so away.

when did they take him off the drugs?
not trying to scaremonger here but a young lad should wake up from that within a few hours, it took my nan a day or two but that was due to her age.
do doctors seem positive about his condition?

Mate you dont know the extent of the injuries so dont know how you can say any young person should wake up within a few hours.

The drugs that he was on take 1 day to get out of your system. I've been put to sleep a few times b4 and woke up after a few hours too.
This is a little more than having some teath pulled out (me).
Edit- Friday at 4pm they took him off the sleeping one. He's been out for 48 hours already. Early hours on sat he moved a litle but he was in pain so they gave him some pain killers and he went back to sleep.

i know, my nan was in a full coma then on drugs the docs said anymore than a day or two to wake up could mean brain injuries, but that could be way off, what have the docs said?

We'll give him more time to come around on his own.
We'll give him more time to come around on his own.
He's stable thats the main thing. But i think they are right. Just let his body heal itself, and he'll wake up all confused, and we're thinking off telling him that it's a week away from xmas.
