What you lot need to understand is that whilst you think its ok to do drugs 'in moderation/sensibly' in your teen/early twenties, you have to look at the bigger picture.
Sure you can kick the habit (fairplay drunkenfool) ....the problem you will have is when you hit your thirties and have everything you aspire to....house/wife/kids etc.
In your 30's you find yourself bored with your lifestyle, have disposable income...and a harping back to your youth. Enter class 'A' drugs like coke....I recently caught up with a mate who popped a few pills in the 90's, he's now completely fucked and bankrupt after coke abuse, when he had a near 500k turnover business.
Doing drugs just simply isn't worth it IMO....it's all well and good saying 'I do x/y/z drugs' now when you can barely afford to do them. Roll on 20 years....you can afford to do them.
At that point you will begin to lose control. Believe me, Ive seen too many mates fall by the way.....
Again down to will power IMO.
I partake in the odd bit of drug use now and again, but im never sat at home thinking "Im bored, i'll go out & smash a gram of coke up my nose"
I only ever take drugs when the situation is right IE - on a night out, it enhances my night, just as alcohol does. Some people drink to have a good night, some people take drugs.

You miss my point (i'm trying not to labour it TBPH)
A long while ago (I dont make a secret about what an old cunt I am) people I was socialising with had exactly the same view as yourself....IE some went out for a few beers....others did a few beers/got pissed....others did beers and drugs to prolong the party.
The people who I knew/know that fall into the first two catagories seem to be doing ok(ish).....everybody, and I mean 'everybody' that did drugs back then to prolong the party has a drug problem now.

Thats fair enough, I know where your coming as I know a few people like that myself, but I also know people are a lot older than me that still take drugs in moderation, IE - On a night out or simular.
Guess it depends on the person at the end of the day, and how much they can/want to control what the do/dont take.

jules, you dont understand though, these people may hsve drug problems, but just think how cool they were, and the respect they got for taking drugs.
if im being honest, i think the reason i dont take drugs is simply because im not cool enough

Try having a nickname after a commonly used manly tool like say...a hammer. You'll be able to hang with all the cool jive bunnies down the pub and buy lots of drugs.

Ive done ecstacy and blow and to be honest i want lie pills are ok,cheap buzz imo but weed/blow is disgusting stuff my brothers proper into the stuff i hate the smell and taste.
One thing about drugs is i really dont get why its illegal to take them??
its your body if you want to take them what's it do to with police/goverment. only reason i can think off is they cant tax it?
the end off the day if they spent money on educating people on how to take them, and supplying safe drugs, there would be less deaths and money spent.
