I loved mine till the rocker cover went. Wish i hadnt sold it and xe'd it as a track slag

Good start, means your not likely to bin it (less likely anyway)

Are they really as slow as everyone slags them of as being? I've only ever driven that and the learner car so got nothing to compare it to really, dont care at the end of the day though

Urm...I think mine with a passenger was 0-60 in 21 seconds (now used to low 7's) so i'd say yes its slow.

Good for 6 months - A year or so.

You'll find yourself ragging it to keep up with traffic meaning mpg will be low.

But like i said less speed = less chance of binning it.

I had a 1.2 8v 5speed, bulletproof engines but painfully slow. Mine topped out at 87mph
The four speed ones are much better imo.

Mine at limiter on a very very big hil !! Sat nav said low 80's iirc


Bulletproof till the rocker cover and head gaskets went

I spent more time filling up oil rather than petrol. Stem seals were going, sold it on 124,000 for £300 to a mate, she sold it on 157,000 and now some trollop near me owns it a year on

Thing is that took about 3 or 4 minutes to get fast

nowadays...to 100 can be done in well under 20 seconds. Although looking back am glad i had that as a first car.
